Clinician & Founder of Thriving Musician

For over 12 years, Spenser Liszt has served as a freelance saxophonist, performer, composer, woodwind specialist, marketing coordinator, contractor, curator and educator based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. His work ethic and passion for collaboration has led him to perform and record with many groundbreaking artists, including Aretha Franklin, Father John Misty, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Temptations, Deon Estus (George Michael,) BNQT (Midlake/Franz Ferdinand,) Prophets and Outlaws, Larry Joe Taylor, Miles Okazaki, John Clayton, Terrell Stafford, Erin Dickins, Rich Perry, Peter Erskine, Mike Stern, Frank Wess, Wayne Bergeron, Denis DiBlasio, Shelley Carrol, Roger Boykin, Lars Jansson, Stefan Karlsson, Steve Wiest, Frank Mantooth and renowned nu metal band Korn. He toured as the baritone saxophonist with UNT’s Grammy-nominated world-renowned One O’clock Lab Band and was featured on their releases Lab 2013 and Lab 2012. Liszt is credited on more than 30 albums to date. Liszt studied classical saxophone with Don Fabian at Southern Methodist University and holds a Bachelor and Master of Music in jazz studies from the University of North Texas under the apprenticeship of Brad Leali. He has taught privately and/or provided clinics and masterclasses at The University of North Texas, Eastfield Community College, Booker T Washington High School for the Performing Arts, Wichita State University, Southlake Carroll High School, Sherman High School and more. Certified in various marketing techniques, Liszt serves as the marketing and social media coordinator for Lone Star Wind Orchestra and as project director and website developer for AMP Trio. As the founder of Thriving Musician, his mission is to drastically improve the lives of musicians by teaching financial awareness, mindset, and music business through clinics, courses and coaching.
